In 2022, Matt joined on as an assistant coach at College of DuPage. In 2023, Matt took over as the interim coach 1 week into the season. 3-3 at the time he took over, the team would go on to finish 33-18 winning a Regional Championship, District Championship and finishing in 4th place nationally at the JUCO World Series. 

In 2023, working closely with the offense and the catchers defensively, the team featured 4 all-region hitters, including their Catcher, Filip Milatovic, who would go on to be 1st team All-Region as well as 2nd Team All-American. Defensively, Milatovic took home a Gold Glove at the catcher position, and also won the Defensive Player of the Year award, an award given to the best defender at any position across the country. 

Matt is currently an assistant coach at D3 Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois in the NACC, who recently came off one of their best seasons in program history.
